OB-GYN (Obstetrician-Gynecologist) Questions OB-GYN

I need advice on what to do?

I have had very intense sharp pains in my lower abdomen, then I got my period which is extremely heavy it is a non-stop flow. It soaks through a tampon or two in one hour. The color coming out is a dark red kind of brownish too, and a decent amount of clumps as well. The pain is very intense still. Seven years ago I got my period all living in Mexico and I lasted a month and was put on bed rest. As well as every six months or year for the past four years, I’ve had some sort of stomach attack where I have sharp pain in my abdomen, diarrhea and I throw up and I have no more mode but I am always sent home without a proper resolution as symptoms last for maybe 24 hours and then disappear, The pain I feel right now, however, is not a constant sharp pain, but it is a constant discomfort and then every once in a while an unbearable pain. I do not know what to do as I am in severe pain but I do not want to go to the doctor to be told that nothing is wrong and sent home when I know it’s not the case.

If you are bleeding at 1-2 pads per hour you should immediately go to the emergency department. Otherwise this is definitely worth a visit to your ObGyn. This could be endometriosis, fibroids or an entire host of treatable issues
You need a thorough exam in an office setting by a health care provider who is experienced.
