“Injured foot ”
Hello I was hoping you would be able to tell me if I need a tetanus shot or any other aftercare. I stepped on my plug from one of my new hair dryers that I only used maybe twice and my foot started bleeding a little bit but stopped right away. My foot was punctured and is swollen and throbbing with pain.

Its difficult to answer without some more information. First and foremost is when was your last booster. Further, knowing a bit more about your medical history would help guide management beyond just the tetanus shot. For example, if you need antibiotics or some sort of imaging to rule out any deeper injuries. Hope this helps a little bit.
There is something missing here. How can a plug cause such a wound? The wound is minor in any case. If you foot is swollen, it will pass. If the plug has not been in dirt or mud, you needn't worry about tetanus. In the unlikely case that it has, then yes, you should get a tetanus booster.
