Cardiologist Questions Ecosprin

Is Ecosprin a medication that is long-term for those who have had bypass surgery?

I have recently undergone a bypass surgery and the doctor has prescribed Ecosprin for me. Though the side effects are really affecting me, and I would rather not take it any longer than I have to. Do I have to take this long-term, or can I get something else prescribed?

If Ecrosprin is bothering you, try taking Plavix 75 mg daily for a year.
yes
YOU can switch to Aspirin 81 mg daily, for life.
Ecosprin is an extended relase asprin thus side efffects may last longer, problem is asprin products are the most important treatment for heart disease. May consider regular asprin 81 mg per day. Also, they do have asprin with antacid, it all depends on the exact side effect.
