“Is Invisalign as good as oral braces?”

The best thing to do is go in for a consultation as each patient can be a little different. For just straightening, Invisalign works just like regular/traditional braces. However, if the case is more complex like correcting cross bites, traditional ortho treatment may be best.

Both will straighten teeth but Invisalign needs more compliance because the aligners have to be worn 21-22 hours a day and the Positive is that you can keep your oral hygiene better with aligners / Invisalign since you can take them off and brush and floss .

With braces your compliance is mainly with elastics stage but then it’s more effort to keep your oral hygiene clean. .
So it really depends on the person .

Invisalign is a great treatment modality and is as good or can be better than braces in certain ways. However, there are some cases that can be treated only with braces. So, it’s not a “one fit all “ solution. Your dentist would be the best to diagnose your situation and give recommendations accordingly.

Depending on what needs to be corrected, invisalign can be just as effective as braces. For certain movements, invisalign can take a bit longer.
