“Is Invisalign supposed to smell?”
I wear Invisalign and it smells bad. Is Invisalign supposed to smell?

Clear aligners should not smell. They are likely picking up food odors. You should get your teeth cleaned every 3 months while wearing aligners.

No. You need to clean your teeth better in between every time the trays come out. And you need to do the exact same for the trays. Good luck!
Invisalign can smell like "plastic", but shouldn't smell like anything else. You need to brush your Invisalign aligners with toothpaste and water at least twice a day. Thanks.

Invisalign aligners should not smell. To reduce the odor, first, make sure your teeth are thoroughly brushed and flossed. Do you have any sinus/allergy issues? That may be a contributing factor. Then make sure your aligners are clean. If they still smell, let your dentist/orthodontist know and if necessary, have them remade.
The trays can become 'smelly' over time. I would recommend brushing them daily with toothpaste-like you do your teeth. It is important to brush your teeth 2-3 times a day for 2 minutes each brushing and floss once per day. There are denture cleaners that you can soak your Invisalign trays in as well. Usually, only soak the trays once a week. I would contact your orthodontist or who is doing the Invisalign trays for you and talk with them directly as well.
Try rinsing the trays out with liquid soap and water And maybe a soft toothbrush.
Definitely NOT. Be sure that your mouth is clean when you insert and wear your Invisalign trays. Do not eat or drink anything while wearing your trays (except for plain water). Clean your trays by soaking them in a solution of denture/retainer cleaner (Polident or Efferdent) and lukewarm water, while you are eating. Trays are usually changed every 2-3 weeks and should not have time to discolor, stain or acquire s bad odor if they are worn and maintained in this way.
