“Is a CT scan for a 3 year old safe?”
My daughter is 3 years old and has been advised to have a CT scan. Is this safe for a child her age?

There is no proven risk for one. The amount of radiation is about the same as flying from Chicago to Denver... So, if you are concerned about radiation, don't fly.
Yes, but it depends on what body part is being studied. If the question is appendicitis, then ultrasound should be performed first as there is no radiation exposure. This is true for many other conditions as well.
CT scan is safe.
