It really depends what is causing the nerve pain in your neck. What tests have been done and what were results?
Yes. The acupuncture meridians are very close to nerve system. It is very good for nerve pain and musculoskeletal tightness and pain.
Yes indeed, I treat nerve pain quite often. I suggest that until you can get into see your acupuncturist, try putting ice on the area of pain. Heat is good for muscle pain, ice for nerve pain. Good luck!
Usually, yes, acupuncture can improve nerve pain. Situations like this can sometimes require a bit of treatment to get things headed in the correct direction, so be prepared to attend at least 3-4 treatment sessions.
Also, it's important to make sure whoever is treating you has an L.Ac or R.Ac. credential issue by your state.
