High doses of caffeine (2-3 espresso shots) in 16oz of liquid can be beneficial in relieving migraines. However, this treatment only works if you do not drink high amounts of coffee regularly. If you drink coffee/espresso daily, this treatment would not work well as your body is already accustomed to high amounts of caffiene.
Some people have found caffeine to be helpful in relieving symptoms, however it might not be compatible with prescribed medications you might be taking, so its important to communicate with your provider to determine the cause of your migraines, and what the most efficient way of relieving your symptoms is. Some migraines result from being dehydrated. Increasing your water intake might be a simple option.
