I would describe it more as discomfort rather then pain
It is actually one of the least painful surgeries in plastic surgery. Patients almost never need any pain medications after surgery.
Any invasive procedure has the potential to cause pain or discomfort and this can vary on sensitivity from person to person, but it should be the aim of your treating surgical team to minimize discomfort using local anesthesia and post-operative pain medication.
