“Is general anesthesia better than epidural for back surgery?”
I will have a back surgery. Which anesthesia is better? General or epidural?

Depends entirely on the planned type of back surgery. Ask for an anesthesiology cosultation to discuss this with a physician anesthesiologist.
With back surgery, an epidural would not be possible. It can only be done with a general anesthetic.
if you mean spinal surgery general anesthesia is the only choice.
