Is general anesthesia used for endoscopic sinus surgery?

I will have endoscopic sinus surgery. Is general anesthesia used for endoscopic sinus surgery?

Yes, it is if it is done at an ambulatory surgery center. Some surgeons will do “sinus surgery” in their office with the use of balloons with sedation. Cannot state definitively that this would be considered endoscopic sinus surgery.
Yes
Definitely general, could be either balanced GA with meds and vapor. In
patients prone to postop nausea and vomiting it is better to use TIVA,
total IV anesthesia, without vapor, as per latest studies.
In general, yes. Discuss this with your surgeon, but in my experience, endoscopic sinus surgery (not sinus procedures that are minor and done in the clinic) warrants general anesthesia.
