Is getting a dental bridge painful?

I will get a dental bridge next week. Is it painful?

no
It should NOT be painful. Local anesthetic will be used to prepare the teeth and to take your impression and make your temporary "bridge." It may be sore when the anesthetic wears off. If you are able to take ibuprofen or Alleve, they should help.
Generally speaking getting a bridge is not at all painful
Getting a bridge is just like getting a filling or a crown. You get numb and it does not hurt. It is considered a routine treatment..
You should be numbed up for the procedure and be comfortable while the dentist is working. You may have some soreness afterward and need some tylenol or ibuprofen.
