Is heart stent surgery painful?

I will have a heart stent surgery. I am afraid. Is it painful?

During Stent placement you can have some chest discomfort /pain as the stent settle into place. Pain can be felt as sharp/ stabbing and can last for for 24 hrs ,
You can take Tylenol ( Acetaminophen ) 500 mg every 6 hr if needed
It should not be painful. You should be sedated. You may feel a small needle prick for the IV line and for the insertion of the catheter.
