Moist heat and a Chiropractic extremity adjustment.
Heat for spasm. Ice for inflammation. You have both. Heat should be used to do any type of movements that have been given to you to help re-educate the area. Ice before bed to decrease inflammation from the “day”.
If you are sure it is a frozen shoulder then heat is the best !

Jesus loves you and so does Dr Jim !
If the frozen shoulder is acute ice will help reduce inflammation. If it has been over a week and you were diagnosed correctly try moist heat. A damp towel over a heating pad or a corn sock for 10-15 minutes. You can also alternate between the moist heat and ice 15 and 15, rest 60 minutes and repeat 2-3 times daily.
Heat and mobility are helpful for a frozen shoulder.
My professional opinion is cold helps much more
I would alternate between moist heat and ice for 20 minute 3 times a day. Dr Viernow
I have worked successfully on many frozen shoulders. The amount of success depends on the cause of the condition, how long it has been there, how contentious the individual is with following advice and type of previous treatment. I usually recommend a combination of dynamic range of motion and contrast therapy, which is ice followed by wet heat (wet towel, shower or jacuzzi). Chiropractic, Physical Therapy, and Massage are helpful.
