It is quite common to have a fever after surgery; however, make sure that your body temperature should not cross above 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
It is possible but not common. If your fever does not subside in two days see your dentist immediately.
Wisdom teeth extraction especially in the lower jaw can be challenging. Fever might be a transient reaction of the body to trauma from extraction or /and infection from the extraction site. Antibiotics are prescribed after difficult extraction and your fever should be resolved within a couple of days. If it persists or worsens you should contact your provider immediately.
