Typically not, but you can expect some mild pain for 2-3 days.
Actually, eyelid surgery is painless. Patients do very well with this surgery and have full recovery within a week outside of some mild swelling.
All surgeries are painful !!! That why you need anesthesia. Either general anesthesia or local anesthesia would work. There might some pain afterward for a few days, some pain medications would help during your recovery.
