“Is spirulina safe during pregnancy?”
I’m 15 weeks pregnant and have been using spirulina during my pregnancy. Is it safe?

Not having any study done clearing the way for the use of that product, I will definitely stay away from it.

Spirulina has not been studied in terms of pregnancy safety, so we do not have any data on which to guide a recommendation. In general, we recommend avoiding supplements that have not been well studied unless your doctor recommends otherwise.
