“Is there a cough syrup for infants?”

If your child is over 2 months old there is a cough syrup by zarbees which is ok and specifically for infants made from agave. But make sure it says for 2 months or older. Otherwise it may have honey which is not safe in infants. Pending on age and if a lot of nasal congestion sometimes a very small amount of childrens zyrtec can be used but it depends on how old.

"Cough syrups" are not approved for use in children under 2 yrs old. As a general rule, a cough syrup doesn't TREAT the cough, it merely makes the child unable to cough, which can worsen the underlying reason WHY the child is coughing.
