Surgeon Questions Ear-Nose and Throat Doctor (ENT)

Issue with thyroid lymph nodes?

I'm from Toronto Ontario, Canada, I'm having an issue with my thyroid lymph nodes. I have done 2 ultrasounds so far and will be doing the 3rd one 6 months from now. I have a choice of doing a biopsy - or surgery. I'm 58 years old. I'm very scared and very afraid, I don't want to do either one. If I don't do either one, can I pass away from it - and how soon? Thanks for your advice. I want to tell my doctor to back off of my behind. I need advice on what I should do from here since I have 6 months to do a 3rd ultrasound, and then I'm supposed to let my doctor what I decide to do which is NOTHING AT ALL! Thanks for your assistance.

Please do the biopsy. If you need Surgery that's okay, you don't want it to spread to your lung if there is something there. Find a good Surgeon at an academic or University center. Just go to a high volume center to be very safe. Namaste.
Have the physician perform a needle biopsy while doing the ultrasound. Once you have the cell type, you will have information you can work with. recontact me with the results of the biopsy.
