I have gastritis and it hurts. Can gastritis pain go away on its own?

Yes, sometimes this can go away on its own, as long as you are following a healthy diet and avoiding alcohol, caffeine and smoking.
A lot of pain is blamed on gastritis but in reality, it's usually something else. Gastritis does not cause chronic pain. But in the case of acute gastritis (e.g. after an infection) then the pain should go away on its own eventually.
