Lithium orotate on antidepressant

Is it safe to take lithium orotate while on antidepressant? I’m on 40 mg viibryd and was going to take 5 mg of lithium orotate bc I’m struggling really bad and can’t see the doc until another month.

If it is would tapering to 20 be the safer option ?

It`s important to be cautious when combining lithium orotate with antidepressants like Viibryd. Lithium orotate isn`t the same as prescription lithium, and there can be risks, especially with antidepressants. It`s best to wait for your doctor to guide you on this, as they can assess your specific situation. Reducing Viibryd without a doctor’s advice may not be safe either.

Lithium orotate is not approved to treat any medical condition and because it has not been widely studied, you should clear that with your physician.
