“Melanoma mole?”
I want to know if I have melanoma. I have a mole and the center of it is pink because it was accidentally cut years ago and I picked the scab and it scarred. The scarring is not my concern I am more concerned if the mole itself looks sinister?

Biopsy of a skin lesion is the only definitive way of telling whether it is cancerous. Fortunately, the vast majority are not. Best to visit a local dermatologist to be safe.

As a dermatologist, we typically use a dermatoscope to evaluate suspicious spots. No one can give you a 100% answer without seeing you in person. I would say it is very likely a Dermatofibroma, but if you were my family member I would tell you to see a dermatologist to confirm this.
