My teeth

I've been grinding my teeth while I sleep for years. Last month I realized that I was still doing it and I tried to get help but nobody would listen to me. Now one of my adult teeth is loose and I don't know what to do for the immense pain.

Grinding traditionally has been traditionally attributed to stress. However, it may be an airway issue as well. See your local provider to evaluate for upper airway compromise
This shouldnt be ignored. Get just a simple over the counter mouthguard for now just to protect your teeth. You more than likely need a custom made splint. Its common for teenage girls to start showing signs of TMJ issues around your age as well as increased clenching and grinding. Some people also grind due to congestion or airway issues (large tonsils, large adenoids, jaw sizes and shapes, etc). You may need to see an airway centric orthodontist and ENT if thats a potential issue. Hope this helps! Thanks, Brynn L. Leroux, DDS Associates in Pediatric Dentistry (225) 924-6622 www.aipdbr.com
