Need help finding out what's wrong with me?

I sometimes feel a random pulling sensation near my umbilical and hypogastric abdominal regions, I have been feeling those sensations for years. What is really causing me extremely concern and constant pain is a radiating pain I feel in my left iliac abdominal region. I had an ultrasound done and nothing was found. I have strong concerns about having a CT scan done because of radiation exposure and I am not willing to have an MRI with contrast because of concerns avoid gadolinium poisoning. Would an MRI without contrast reveal the cause of my problem? If not, what are my options, taking into account the procedures I don't consent to?

1. MRI without is fine
2. Radiation from CT is minimal with modern scanners....sometimes as little as an X-ray
It is not clear that your symptoms are from a GI cause. I would need to know more about what makes the pain increase or what relieves it. But in general, your concerns about radiology tests are unjustified. Neither a CT scan nor MRI is of high risk and you should proceed with one of those exams if your doctors recommended them.
