I use to count stairs, letters in the book,

Hello young man,
It is quite normal for a person to want to have a mate at your age, but if you feel the thoughts are overcoming your life, you may need to find a therapist to help guide you to the right specialty area for your concerns. Although your symptoms are a lot like Obsessive Compulsive Disorder symptoms, other disorders can have the same symptoms such as PTSD, Schizophrenia, and other mental health disorders. I hope this helps!

Hello--

I see you stated you do not have any professionally diagnosed conditions, however you stated from a young child you have experienced Arithmomania?

From my experience, this whole description you have provised us can range from anxiety to CPTSD, to depression, to a disorder.

My opinion is you should seek out a Cognitive Behavioral Psychologist first. Let them decide what is what. Your racing and intrusive thoughts could be ADHD, they could be insomnia, they could be anything. Comorbid even. I think for you to find some ground to plant into, you must seek out professional help whether an online therapist or in person, it's time.

Stay well. You control your actions, mind and mental health. Be your own advocate.
