Absorbed in the small intestine. This is an emergency use authorized medicine- there are no guarantees with it. Its experimental
If the Paxlovid is enteric coated (ec) then it will not start to break down untill in the bowel. If however, it is not EC it will start breaking down and being absorbed in the stomach and into the bowel. In the ideal world the medication will require maximum absorption time in the bowel with the best absorption in the large intestine. However, even with EC medication breakdown and absorption will start in the small bowel. So long as you have some large or small bowel there will be some absorption. If you are still concerned please discuss this with your prescribing physician.I hope this helps,

You should be able to absorb Paxlovid, even if you do not have a colon.  Most medications are absorbed through the small intestine.  The main function of the colon is to absorb water.
