“Pediatric dose question ”
I am needing to know the correct dose of Dimetapp Cold and Allergy for my 20-month old son who weighs 27lbs. He is miserably congested and I would like to get him as much relief as I can. I can’t remember the dose I had to give my daughter when she was that age, but I think it was a teaspoon or maybe 3/4t. Please advise

Cough and cold medications are not recommended in this age group as they have not been shown to work and can have adverse side effects. Suctioning the nose with nasal saline is more likely to be effective for nasal congestion and a lot safer. The Nose Frieda worked wonders for my kids when they were that age. I hope he feels better soon!
