Possible pink eye

My daughter woke up this morning with the reddish pink eye she said it hurts and it's itchy but it's not crusty or goopy.

Hello! What seems to be going on with your daughter is allergic conjunctivitis and it is not an infection. You can give her Zyrtec for children over the counter and also allergy eye drops such as Visine Allergy or any of the name-brand allergy eye drops. If she has been around a cat lately or outside more than usual this can be a source for the allergy. If not better in 3 days have her be examined by a physician. Also, cold wash cloth over the eye for 2 -5 minutes gives relief as well, God bless You!
It is definitely possible especially if just on one side. If it is pink eye she will need special antibiotic drops from an office. Sometimes pink eye can be viral in nature and in these instances regular eye drops and good hygiene can work.
