Prefrontal lobe brain injury?

I suffered a severe injury at 10 years old that went untreated and later, at 46, it was discovered that it had done severe injury to my prefrontal lobe. The injury at 10 was very traumatic and although I knew the results, I had simply wanted to put it behind me. I became a psychiatric patient in my late teens and was given a shopping list of diagnosis and medication trials, after 18 years of that I simply quit out of a sense of self preservation. The discovery at 46 was initiated by MRI results and followed up with CET and another I'm not certain of without looking it up, shuffled through a handful of experts. Finally one doctor asked me if I'd ever had a lobotomy because roughly 55% of my prefrontal lobe was simply missing. It seemed that my functionality was unexpected and they had no idea what to do with me. I'm 54 years old now and am wanting to know if there is advances in medicine worth looking into beyond shotgun therapy.
