Symptoms-50 YO F SOME SYMPTOMS ON & OFF A FEW YEARS. PROB BLEW THEM OFF. BALANCE PROBLEMS,GAIT FEELS OFF, TRIPPING, CLUMSY. SUDDENLY PROGRESSING RAPIDLY. INVOLUNTARY TWITCHING OR JERKING. COGNITIVE ISSUES, CAN'T DO MATH IN MY HEAD ANYMORE. SPEECH ISSUES, SEARCHING FOR WORDS STUMBLING OVER WORDS. ITCHING EPISODES, TINGLING AND BURNING THAT IT IS SO BAD I'LL SCRATCH MYSELF RED AND RAW. MOST RECENT EPISODE I SCRATCHED SO HARD I LEFT BRUISES. PAIN IN LEGS AND FEET, OCCASIONALLY THROUGH ARMS AND HANDS, NO INJURY NO PULLED MUSCLES IT'S DIFFERENT. MOST RECENT SYMPTOM IS DIZZY I GET A SENSE OF DETACHMENT. I READ IT CAN BE CALLED DEREALIZATION WHEN IT'S NOT PSYCHOLOGICAL. DIZZINESS, BALANCE, AND PAIN ARE AFFECTING MY ABILITY TO FUNCTION DAILY. THIS IS ONGOING AND PROGRESSIVE SO NOT A STROKE OR SOMETHING. THERE'S MORE BUT THAT'S ENOUGH FOR NOW

You may be experiencing Wernicke's encephalopathy or a bit more serious Wenicke-Korsakoff's . This is associated with long term use/abuse of alcohol and B complex particularly B1 efficiency.It could be potentially reversible with the right treatment and if not too advanced.
