Pulmonary embolism?

I was diagnosed with PE’s in my right leg in late September. Concurrently, my lab's results showed I was having internal bleeding as my hematocrit (supposed to be in the 12.5 - 18.5 range) was at 8.5. I have since been taking prescription iron supplements and hematocrit is now back to normal. My Upper GI showed a peptic ulcer, most likely caused by ingesting Lodine (now d/c’d…just take Tylenol) for back pain on an empty stomach. During the GI procedure, the ulcer was ablated and I was then started on Eliquis, 2 caplets b. I. d. for one week, and then 1 caplet b. I. d. which I’m continuing. The cause of PE’s undetermined, but likely from 11 hour road trip with but one brief stop. The ultrasound in my legs detected no additional clots there. Anecdotally, I received the J&J covid vaccine in early August. My question is: when do you think the PE’s will be gone (possibly already are?) and I can get off Eliquis and back on 81 mg aspirin daily? Also, with my moderate+ back pain, I’d like to get an injection into my lower back, but that’s contraindicated while on Eliquis. I had one time (just prior to PE diagnosis) been given 6 injections into the lower back/spine and was a tremendous relief.

Sorry, but this is not a question for a gastroenterologist. Questions about clotting problems are best answered by a hematologist or whoever prescribed the Eliquis for you. If you stay on an antiacid pill, then you will not get an ulcer while taking Eliquis or aspirin.
