Yes. Acupuncture will help you relief from sciatica. Have you ever did some test for your low back? Like CT scan or MRI. If you did. Please bring the report when you go to see an Acupuncturist. It will help a lot. You can do acupuncture 2-3 times / week. Cost depends on your insurance. Thanks
Of course it helps.
The duration varies depending on the patient.
The cost of treatment varies depending on the doctor.

Though I can't say that acupuncture actually changes your stenosis, it can certainly help with the pain. And I treat sciatica all the time very successfully. How often you go depends on your practitioner. I see my patients twice a week until the pain goes down and stays down between patients, but every practitioner is different. As far as cost, many insurances cover acupuncture now, so check with your insurance plan to see if they do. Good luck!
Acupuncture with massage and herbs can help relieve your spinal stenosis and sciatica. I suggest 2-3 sessions per week for 4-8 weeks. If you do not see an improvement after 3 sessions, try going to a new acupuncture master.
Medicare has covered chronic lower back pain with or without sciatica since 2021. Without strong evidence of the effects of acupuncture for sciatica, Medicare will not cover this only condition under acupuncture therapy. It is the best treatment I have ever known for sciatica. It might take a few sessions.
YES!!! absolutely I see patients with sciatic all the time. Acupuncture is great alleviating pain and increase blood flow. How often you need to receive treatment is based on each individual issue and needs to be evaluated on first visit. Often recommended 10-12 sessions of once or twice a week. Cost can be anywhere from $50-100 depending on treatment and length of visit which would be discussed on first visit.
Acupuncture really helps with sciatica. Initially, you should have 2-3 treatments a week (2-4 weeks), then perhaps once a week for several weeks. Your acupuncturist should tell you how often they recommend sessions. You will get the best results going more frequently initially, and less frequently once your condition improves. The cost depends on where you live; prices are different everywhere.
Acupuncture can help to reduce nerve inflammation and pain. Sciatica is a condition that is the most treated in an acupuncture clinic. We usually treat the patient until there are no more symptoms and then we set a maintenance schedule (once every two weeks, once a month...) to prevent any flare-ups.

If the stenosis is mild to moderate then, yes, acupuncture can usually help.
Treatment frequency can vary, some providers like to start with 2 treatments per week and others like to start with 1. Unless your pain levels are consistently over 7-8/10, once a week is usually good to get the ball rolling.
Statistically, a course of treatment tends to be in the 8-10 range. Unfortunately, statistics do not tell us how any given individual will respond. Some people go longer and some go shorter - it's impossible to predict in advance.
Cost is going to be highly variable. Depending on where you're located, insurance may cover all or part of the cost. Some acupuncture providers do not take insurance, so you'd be out of pocket. Generally speaking, if you're located in a larger city or higher cost of living area, acupuncture is going to be more expensive. National median cost for a treatment session, the last time I looked (which was years ago), was $70. Again, that's median, depending on where you are and who you're seeing you could pay more or you could pay less.

About 80% of my patients come to see me with sciatica and lower back pain-related issues. About 91% of them find immediate relief after the first session. Duration of healing depends on many factors; your health, the condition of damage, and the practitioner’s skill set so there aren’t any hard and fast answers. Some take a session or two, while others come for 10-20 sessions before finding relief and or healing. The cost differs per region and practitioner. I’ve seen acupuncture sessions run anywhere from $60-120, depending on those factors.
