Reoccurring cramps that have been happening multiple years?

Over the last few years I’ve had occasional sharp painful muscle spasm/cramps in my right lower abdomen. Usually, it occurs when I twist my body but sometimes just move weird and it sets off and starts with a sort of pulsing cramp in my side that can escalate for short time. It feels better when I sit forward or massage it, and over the course of 5 maybe 10 minutes it fades with no residual effects. But it happens now and then.

Muscle cramps go away fastest if you stretch the muscle—works for foot and calf cramps too. The quicker you abort a cramp, the less likely that the muscle will build up lactic acid that can cause irritation, leading to repeated cramps. As long as this is the only muscle involved, no need to worry.
