Right inguinal hernia repair?

I had a right inguinal hernia in 1986 with a retractable testicle that went up and down like a yo-yo with major pain to my groin area. That led me to have my right testicle removed in 2002. Now I'm in more pain than ever with an absent testicle. What I like to know is if this is normal or some kind of error with the first operation. I am fighting the v.a. for compensation and they seem like they're not interested in understanding this situation any feedback would be appreciated.

I don't.
You could be having phantom pain from the missing testicle. Try putting a mirror where your missing testicle is so that you the remaining testicle reflects in the mirror as if you have one on the missing side. Sometimes this will help the brain reconcile and feel like it is there even though it isn't. If you feel pain relief while doing it, try doing it every day for a while and eventually the pain should subside. Otherwise, I would see a doctor outside the VA and try to get a second opinion on your surgery.
I've had the testicle removed surgically and have pain where the testicle was you have an entrapment of the ilioinguinal nerve which is causing your pain. This can be severed proximally as a outpatient surgical procedure to alleviate your pain.
You have a lot of scarring and possible nerve damage in the area. Try Acupuncture with Moxibustion to decrease scarring and consult Functional Medicine.
Very hard to tell from the male. He could have scar tissue or a recurrent hernia or other problem.
If you are having new pain, you could have a recurrent hernia. You should see a surgeon for a good hernia exam, and pain mapping to determine the nature of your pain.
