Pain Management Specialist Questions Trapezoid Sprain

Severe trapezoid strain

I have had an injury due to sitting at a workstation that was not ergonomic set up in which my left arm hung straight down for 1 year, no where to rest as the chair was broken and had no armrests. I had therapy, it temporarily helped but the injury was so severe I am not able to lay on my left side for over 15 years so it prevents me from doing things that aggravate it.

I wanted to know advice of what is recommended to alleviate the pain I have and still having. I was then placed finally at an ergonomic office which fit me and then moved for some training which flared it up and have experienced the same along with tingling and numbness in my left hand?

With all of those complaints, specific advice is hard to give. Best to see an orthopedic surgeon and let him sort your complaints out.

Hope it helps!

I would advise you to consult a hand/wrist surgeon for further evaluation.

You will want to see your Primary Care Physician or an Orthopaedic Surgeon in order to determine the best treatment option for you.
You need to consult with a shoulder/sports medicine specialist. You sound like you have symptoms of rotator cuff disease.
I am sorry you are still having pain. An injury that has lasted over 15 years requires a more complete examination to ensure an accurate diagnosis is achieved. Without that, it would be hard to place a timeline on recovery.
