I will have blepharoplasty. Should I massage my eyelids after blepharoplasty?

Generally massaging is not recommended unless the surgeon wants to do you what we call an uplifting massage, but this is not done until a few weeks after the operation.
No, you should not massage your eyes soon after your blepharoplasty.
There is no reason to rub your eyelids after blepharoplasty unless your surgeon is concerned about a particular scar. Robert M Dryden, MD
