Should I see a doctor about this?

It happened 3 days ago, I was working and had a sharp pain in my ankle. For the next 3 days my foot is bruised and swollen, with a knot on it.

If you are having pain, then you should seek medical attention. If it is not too painful, and you are able to bear weight and walk without any issues, try some Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory medication (Ibuprofen, Naproxen, etc) for the pain and swelling. Try an ankle brace or ACE wrap. Ice and elevate and rest.
Possible ligament tear or rupture which medical attention recommended.
I would go to the ER it is possible that you have a fracture. It is best to rule that out . Other possible cause could be a very bad ankle sprain.
