I am an 18 year old female with wrist pain. Should I see an orthopedic doctor for wrist pain?

Hi,
You should probably start with a physiatrist before going to an orthopedic doctor. Physiatrists understand more about the tendons and muscles. There are a lot of different things that can cause wrist pain such as tendinitis, carpal tunnel syndrome etc.

Probably yes. Unless it is something very minor and goes away if not it will likely lead to a greater injury that may be harder to fix. Nipping something in the bud early is better than waiting and having to undergo surgery or a large treatment because the injury was not addressed early enough
If you’ve had a problem over an extended period of time, the wrist swells. If it is significantly hampering your activities, then I would see an orthopedic surgeon.
NOT YET. BETTER TO GO TO GENERAL PHYSICIAN FOR EVALUATION AND XR'S TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE AND IF IT NEEDS FURTHER EVALUATION BY OTHOPEDICS
In general, you should see a primary care doctor first, e.g., a family practitioner.
