Infectious Disease Specialist Questions COVID

Sick right after COVID

I have just come down with what seems like a cold. I tested positive for COVID for the second time on October 23rd. My symptoms lasted until October 27th. I began feeling extremely exhausted beginning three days ago, and now I have a fever of 101.8, body aches, shivers, and severe congestion (I’m almost always a little congested because I have a dog that I am allergic to, but this is worse.) I also have asthma but it hasn’t worsened as of lately. Should I see a doctor or is it normal to get sick so soon? I tested negative for COVID about an hour ago.

Thanks for the question. This is not likely COVID again. If fever persists 2-3 days, call your doctor to rule out bacterial infection that may require antibiotics. Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone Get Outlook for Android<https://aka.ms/AAb9ysg>
