Skin Bumps

3 areas (wrist, forearm, tricep) of clustered red bumps with white center. Mildly itchy. Started out with 1 or 2 bumps, has spread to about 30-40 total bumps in the aforementioned areas. When a bump is "popped", the center is not pus, rather it is solid and bleeding follows but seems to heal and that bump went away. First bump noticed approximately 2 months ago. Has just recently spread in the past 2-3 weeks. Active male participating in wrestling. History of cold sores on mouth. Was recently (2 days ago) prescribed mupiricin and valaciclovir but no answer or indication was given as to what the condition might be.

Hi patient This would be called Nodular scabies, which is a severe form of a skin condition known as scabies. It is caused by an infestation of the skin by the human itch mite (Sarcoptes scabiei var. hominins). The mites burrow into the skin, causing intense itching and irritation. They may also cause small, red bumps or nodules to form on the skin. Nodular scabies is caused by skin to skin contact. I do recommand that you see a dermatologist so this can be treated
