Dermatologist Questions

Skin growth

I had what I thought was a skin tag appear about 6 months ago. It is located on the left side of my abdomen at about the bottom of my rib cage. It started out very small and the same color as my skin, then has gradually gotten bigger and darker in color. I’m a little concerned on how big it’s gotten. It’s solid and doesn’t hurt. It has started to slightly itch in the last 2 days.

It is most likely an irritated skin tag or pyogenic granuloma. I would recommend a shave biopsy to remove it and have it examined by a pathologist. This should be done by a Dermatologist.
Hello there! There are many reasons to have a red papule/bump like this including molluscum contagiosum or and irritated mole/nevus. recommend see a physician that can biopsy and diagnose this lesion!
