Small brownish spot on arm not going away?

I have a small brownish spot on my arm. I thought it was a bruise, first noticed it about 2 months ago. Just saw it is still there, and seems a bit larger that it was before. Just wondering what it might be? Is it something I should have looked at? I am 46, only skin condition is psoriasis and eczema, both mild. Other than that fibromyalgia and possible PsA.

A brownish spot that doesn't go away or is getting bigger could be:

Age spots: These are common and usually harmless, caused by sun exposure over time.
Mole or freckle: It might be a mole or freckle that has changed.
Skin irritation: Your psoriasis or eczema could cause changes in your skin.
Other issues: Sometimes, spots that don't heal or grow might need to be checked for more serious problems.
Since the spot has been there for two months and is getting bigger, it's a good idea to see a doctor. Contact Irvine Skin for a professional checkup to be safe.

Hello,

The pic does not define it as well as an exam would but one strong possibility - fitting with your initial assumption- is a consequence of a bruise: telangiectasias (little spider veins) & hyperpigmentation (brown spot) from iron in blood. Best is to see a board certified dermatologist.

The spot appears rectangular. This indicates with almost 100% certainty that it is due to some sort of contact with a similarly shaped object that resulted in mild inflammation that in turn caused some increase in skin pigmentation. This will likely resolve over a period of several months. This is not a problem with your health.
