Ear-Nose and Throat Doctor (ENT) Questions Ear-Nose and Throat Doctor (ENT)

So many symptoms so little answer?

For almost 5 years I have had intermittent issues. I get a significant pain under my right rib (almost at the breast bone meeting point) which radiates what feels like numbness or sometimes sharp pain into my throat. Since this first occurred I have had voice and throat issues, no longer being able to sing (leaves me with a tight throat and struggling to swallow) and lots of talking has the same effect!

The pain sometimes radiates to my back also. I do feel I have a "lump" in my throat much of the time, have issues swallowing even water some days, and often get a distended stomach which will stay for several days and do suffer indigestion, etc.

Recently things have taken a turn in that I was getting VERY out of breath not walking far, experienced dizzy/fainting spells. At times my blood pressure will surge and I feel I have palpitations. There has also been a marked increase in my anxiety levels of late.

Pathology, my blood comes back showing small red cells, lower Iron levels, and reduced b 12 levels however I am apparently "not anemic" according to my doctors.

I have had CT scans, plane X-Rays, Blood Tests, been examined by several doctors and undergone numerous ultrasounds all none conclusive.

History wise I was diagnosed ME 21 years back and do have kidney stone disease also.

ME meaning Myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome. The initial signs are headaches, a sore throat, flu-like symptoms, feeling sick and dizzy. The most common symptoms are sensitivity to light, headaches, tender lymph nodes, muscle and joint pain, insomnia, inability to concentrate among others. It is a neurological condition of the central nervous system. This is a serious long-tern illness that can affects many bodies system. Most people improve over time. Tricyclic amitriptyline may relieve the symptoms and the low energy. The small red blood cells meaning microcytic anemia can be improve by eating food with high content of iron. However, it would be wise to go to your health care provider to see the etiologic factor that is triggering the anemia. It could mean you are losing blood from some place. Besides the kidney stone could be another cause of the anemia. Please, check with your health care provider. Thank you.
