Sore throat and covid?

My daughter has covid and has developed a severe sore throat. She had been diagnosed with an ear infection and was prescribed amoxicillin. She cannot drink even water and nothing is helping. She has used throat spray, Tylenol, gargled and is using a humidifier to keep the air moist Can you give me any advice for treatment? This is the only symptom she has. NO fever, cough, chest discomfort, oxygen level is 96.

She needs examination and a throat swab and CBC. If Amoxicillin is not working, will need change of antibiotics.
Thanks for the question.
If this is her only symptom, she should have a routine throat culture for a bacterial or yeast superinfection of the viral pharyngitis. Then there are throat sprays or gargles containing anesthetics that could help. Please relay this thought to her doctor.
