Sticky and inflamed glans penis

My glans penis is sticky and feels uncomfortable to the touch. I suspect it is inflamed. There is a smell which recurs a few hours even after I have washed the penis. I am uncircumcised. I was diagnosed with balantitis and was prescribed with Gentrisone cream. While I was applying it, the smell disappeared. But after the 2-week treatment period, my glans penis was still sticky and red. The smell returned a few days after I stopped applying the cream. I am afraid to continue applying Gentrisone as it contains antibiotics and steroids. Are there any other treatments that I can avail myself of? I do not wish to be circumcised.

This requires direct visualizaton and treatment by a urologist. Make an appointment and get checked properly. Sometimes an Infectious Disease physician can advise also.
You may have an infection under the skin called Trichanosis that has a funny fishy smell. You need it cultured and then placed on the appropriate antibiotic. Also if you have the same sexual partner, they may need to be treated to prevent a yo-yo infection going back and forth between you to.
