Typically 1 to 1.5 hours for this surgery
Hi - everyone is different but most experienced surgeons can do this in under 2-hours. On average, I would say it takes me 1.5 hours.
You are looking at about 3 hours of work from the surgeon. It depends on how difficult and damaged are the discs as no case is ever the same
At most 2-3 hours
Hello, That varies depending on your surgeons specific technique. I would say usually varies anywhere from 2-5 hours. Be well! Aleka Scoco, MD
I typically tell patients operative time depends on many factors and mostly the complexity of the surgery at hand and no two surgeries are exactly identical. What matters the most beyond surgical time (as long as its not abnormally lengthy) is your surgical outcome. Do your research about your surgeon and the proposed surgery prior to the operation and if you feel comfortable with your surgeon and what youve read about her/him, youre likely making the right choice. The surgery should take 1-2 hours
