“Surgery for stomach ulcers?”
My husband’s having surgery tomorrow for stomach ulcers. The doctor says they’re eating his stomach the doctor also mentioned something to do with his liver and I could use some more information on this so I could be more understanding and knowledgeable.

You have to ask the doctor all your questions to understand and explain what he says. If the liver is also involved, this can be from other things, or the pancreas is involved as well.

Most of these questions should have been asked of the doctor doing the operation. I have an idea of what you are talking about, but I am not sure. There are growths that produce a hormone that can cause ulcers that would require this operation and they can be in the liver, but without any more information, I cannot answer you for sure. Make a list of questions and take them with you to the hospital and ask the doctor when you see him/her before the operation.
