“Swallowed Bottle Cap”
Hello, two days ago I accidentally ingested a water bottle cap. I have had bowel movements both days despite this however I don't believe I have passed the cap yet. I have what I would call slight and occasional stomach pain but I believe it is still moving through my GI tract. How much longer should I wait for the item to pass naturally before seeking medical assistance and do you have any recommendations to help the item pass more quickly/easily?

It should pass but it may be hard to prove since you may not ever see it in the stool.
If it is a plastic cap, then it will also be very hard to see on xrays.
If there is any concern about it not passing then you will need to check an xray or CT scan of the abdomen and see if it shows up.
