Throat problem?

I feel something in my throat like a little tickle and it mostly comes at night and prevents me from sleep. This tickle-like thing is in the bottom, front part of my throat and whenever I try to swallow it irritates me more. This has affected my sleep and sometimes causes me to throw up. I think it might be something called GERD.

Do you have any seasonal allergy? Reflux would cause discomfort and swelling in the throat, not necessarily a tickle. Try taking an over-the-counter allergy medicine to see if that helps.
Could be acid reflux, airway dryness/irritation from mouth breathing or dehydration. Doubt allergy. If you smoke, stop for three weeks and see if things improve. Can try OTC Prilosec. Stop late night meals and snacks. No caffeine after 6:00 pm. Limit fatty/spicy food intake. If overweight, attempt to lose weight now. It does get any easier, the older you get. If pain or vocal changes. see ENT for endoscopy. Can get guidelines for GERD therapy online
