Torn Gluteus Maxus?

Last November I fell and tore the Gluteus Maxemos away from the greater Throcantor and was advised not to have it surgically repaired. Now I find it harder and harder to walk dut lower back pain. What do you recommend?

I would have also avoided surgery due to medical issues and age. First I would try physical therapy again and home exercises even if you did this previously. If not effective then I would really evaluate how this effects my lifestyle. Surgery to reattach tendon would be a reconstruction with long inconvenient rehab and due to age and tissue quality may not give you the result you want. Try therapy first and remember even after surgery you will have long rehab. Good luck.
